    • Captive is an entertaining and fast-paced Regency romance that draws you into a charming plot of mistaken identity, mystery, and romance.Vonnie Hughes creates enchanting characters with her lush attention to detail and her strong storytelling voice. Shy Alexandra Tallis, whose father confines her to the house while she yearns for her independence, immediately falls for her sister’s captive, Theo Crombie. Enchanted by Alexandra, the shrewd businessman marvels at her ability to think on her feet [...]

    • Unsure of what to expect after reading the synopsis, I was pleasantly surprised by how sweet this story was. • A captivating read! This romance novella was very enjoyable and easy to read. I gobbled it up in the course of an evening. I loved the Regency-era details and the tightly woven plot. In fact, I rather wish the author had extended the tale a little, perhaps to short-novel length to draw out the development of the romance and make more of the intriguing character of the heroine's sister. I wanted to know what devious deeds the minx is embroiled in at the opening of the tale!
