    • Henrietta Hen, Doctor Fox, and Nick Hare are not to happy to have a pig move into their apartment building. Why? Because they believe the stereotype that pigs are messy, gross, and disgusting. Will Pig prove to be messy or can he prove his prejudiced peers wrong?A fun story that teaches readers to get to know someone instead of passing judgment and making assumptions. Great message and illustrations.

    • A wonderful book about gossip, assumptions, judging people before knowing them, and ultimately about friendship and forgiveness. I definitely recommend it.

    • In this book was moving in to an apartment. Dr. Fox and Henrietta Hen and Nick Hare can not believe their eyes when they saw the pig. Everybody knew that pigs were messy. Later that day met a pig carrying firewood. He wasn't a bit surprised when the pig dropped pieces of wood on the sidewalk. He complained to Henrietta Hen. "That pig has left wood all over our sidewalk." Henrietta Hen went and looked, but there was no wood on the sidewalk. She thought Dr. Fox had cleaned it up, but it was the pi [...]

    • This little apartment complex has a new neighbor moving in. Everyone is hoping it is someone neat and quiet. To everyone's surprise it's a pig that moves in! Right away everyone thinks this pig will be messy and awful. They begin to spy on him and think they witness him making messes. They all complain to the land lord, but the messes are cleaned up before the land lord can see them. The tenants all think they're cleaning up after one another, but it's really the pig cleaning up after himself. E [...]

    • This book is a great way to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! This could be a great book to read out loud to the class and have a class discussion. I really liked the story line, illustrations, and how everything just seemed to flow together. If not read to the class this book could be counted as a 1st or 2nd grader book, it varies on each page the amount of reading but it is a great read for any student.

    • I liked this book. There were more words and sentences than what I thought there would be. This would be appropriate for first or second grade, or for those advanced readers in a kindergarten class. I did like that message that the book gave off, it showed that you can't judge a book by its over or an animal based on the messy stereotype it has. This would be a good book to use when taking about stereotypes or treating people fairly and not making assumptions.

    • This book would be a good book to teach kids about not judging others. The neighbors all thought the pig would be messy and dirty because he was a pig but he was actually very clean. I think that too often people judge others before they actually get to know them. If people actually took the time to get to know someone they might become good friends like the animals in this book. I think this would be a great book for 1st or 2nd graders to read and talk about.

    • When the pig moves to town, all the other animals judge him before meeting him. A great bullying book that addresses the issue of judging someone before even meeting them. I enjoyed the colorful pictures.

    • Some neighbors assume the new arrival (a pig) will be messy, and start attributing spills and such to their new neighbor based on their preconceptions of pigs.

    • Good book about housing discrimination in a simple way for children to understand. it's out of print but I was able to get a copy through

    • This is about a bunch of animals who live in an apartment and judge the pig who moves in until they learn that he is actually a good neighbor
