    • *** I was provided with an ARC through Netgalley in exchange for honest feedback. ***This prequel, meant to be read after 'Illusion', goes back in time to before Bianca is kidnapped. This quick read focuses on the days and months immediately following her father's death, as she begins her investigation into Bradley Corporation. Mostly, this book focuses on how she orchestrated her "chance meeting" with David Bradley, which she used to insert herself into his life.Overall, the prequel was okay. I [...]

    • Welllwhere to begginCharade is a an original e-novella in the Swept Away series by J.S. Cooper and reveals the story that put in motion all the actions in the Illusion novel.I've tried to read Illusion a few weeks back and I could not finish it was badry badyou can see my review here. Charade was an arc provided to me by Netgalley and although it had some parts that where off it was an ok read and it made me curious of what was about to happen. But I don't know if I would have finished it if it [...]

    • Received an ARC for reviewI didn't like it. The writing was good, but I didn't like David or Bianca. He was a slight jerk and she was just a tease. I have no desire to read the rest of this series. Plus it took me two days to read this which is sad since it's only 66 pages, but I was bored.

    • Charade by J.S. Cooper is a 2015 Pocket Star Publication. I was provided a copy of this book as an XOXpert, the official street team of XOXO After Dark. This novella length story is the second book in the “Swept Away” series. I confess I read this book ahead of “Illusion” the first book in the series. Usually, reading out of order is frowned upon, but in this case I actually recommend it if you are interested in this series. If you have read the first book and are wanting a little more b [...]

    • 5 "Perfect Bridge" StarsThis is the second book in Cooper's Swept Away Series. Illusion was an amazing full length novel that ended with a huge cliffhanger. This book is a novella and prequel to the first book. You really should read them in order to best enjoy the books. It is great because we get more of the back story between Bianca and David. We also see how Mattias was getting suspicious about Bianca. This book was a great bridge to tide us over until this Spring when Disillusioned comes ou [...]

    • I really enjoyed Illusion and was excited to read Charade. Charade is kind of a prequel to Illusion. It's about Bianca and how she lured David into meeting her so she could put her plan in action. There wasn't a lot of new information in this novella. I did feel like it made me question Rosie and if she is really Bianca's friend. I laughed out loud while reading this at one point- when Bianca is trying to figure out her dating schedule and she has to consult to see if there are any good prime ti [...]

    • 2,5 stars I'm not sure how to rate this novella. Charade is a short prequel to the series where we read in more details what happened after her father's death. The thing is I didn't found the interactions she had with her friend Rosie really interesting or useful. The other part was about how she met David and how she found out she was(view spoiler)[ being cheated on by him after she teased him during two months(hide spoiler)]. She also understand that Mattias is after her. Overall, it was ok bu [...]

    • I was given this ARC in return for an honest review. An intriguing and fast read. 3.5 stars Bianca is a women looking for answers. After her fathers death so was left with boxes of paperwork and a letter from him saying that he thinks her mother was murdered years ago. After taking time off from work she devotes all her time into finding out the truth. She begins dating David in hope of finding those answers. This is a companion novella to a full length novel and can be read either before or aft [...]

    • After reading Illusion, I needed to know more about the relationship between Bianca and David and Charade was just the way to get it.We meet Bianca right after her father's death and her finding the letter he had written for her. She starts her investigation into the Bradley's and figures out the perfect way to meet David Bradley, since his brother Mattias seems to be non-existent.I did enjoy Bianca's private detective skills, but I wasn't a big fan of David's. He seemed to only want one thing f [...]

    • ARC kindly provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest reviewLet me start by saying that this book opens on a declaration that this is the Prequel to the Swept Away series and is best read after Illusion. I popped across to to find that said book is over £7 for the kindle edition and therefore out of my price range, so I had to read this on a standalone basis. I am a firm believer though that every book should stand up on it's own merit, even if it's part of a series so I went into this bo [...]

    • I love a good romance with a bit of mystery mixed in and yet again the author does a fabulous job of teasing of what is to come by giving us a bit more of the back story for the first book Illusion. Charade is a prequel to Illusion and gives insight on how Bianca came to be with her boyfriend David and why. His family (the Bradley's) are a mystery in them selves and hold the key to what Bianca is going through. It also helps you understand how her and Jacob come to be on the island.

    • 4.5 Stars! This novella is best read after Illusion, even though it tells us the events leading up to that story. We get a lot of background information about what is going on in Bianca's world, especially the mystery surrounding her parents. Even though we are given some answers, we are still left with many questions. It is easy to see that this series will keep us guessing to the very end.

    • "He left home to escape. She made a new life out of guilt. Neither one expected to find love—but not even the Arctic can cool this steamy romance."I simple loved this book. It tore me apart, made me cry and then made me cry with happiness. Highly recommended and so worth reading.

    • 2 charade starsHonestly I loved illusion but I felt like the writing is this novella felt disconnected and you really didn't learn much, it's quite short but you get a feel of their relationship before Bianca gets kidnapped. I can't wait to read book 2 but this novella didn't do it for me at all.

    • I want moreThis gave lots of insight into David and the crazy world Bianca got herself mixed up in. I really can't wait for the next book. So many unanswered questions. This is a great series.

    • I wasn't sure that a prequel novella after the fact could sway me one way or the other on the enjoyment of this series, but I have to say that I'm pretty excited to finish out this series now that I've got the full 411 on Bianca! It's been a very difficult time for Bianca London. With the death of her father, Bianca wishes that he'd have shared his concerns with her regarding her mother's death in a car accident. Instead, he leaves her with boxes of documents that shed some light onto his history [...]

    • ARC kindly provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. So, the only information about this book on NetGalley was the title (minus the "Swept Away, 1.5" part) and the author, which means I was going in blind when I requested and started reading it. However, it was by J.S. Cooper and I've heard great things.I had been reading for a short period of time before noticing that I was nearly halfway done and decided to get on to get some details. I was a little disappointed [...]

    • Charade is a wonderful fulfillment of the back-story that was mentioned in Illusion. It helps to shed a bit more light on the shadowy and mysterious Bradley family. While that information is light and fluffy on the surface, there is much more that is left unsaid and alluded to that slowly takes form in Illusion. The only certainty is that nothing is as it seems, and that this game of cat and mouse has only just begin.Bianca’s world shifts from the day her father dies to the day that she receiv [...]

    • Charade by J. S. Cooper is the prequel novella in the Swept Away series. It can be read before book 1, Illusion or after. It is not a Stand Alone novella. It is a snippet of events in the complex plot in the Swept Away series.Charade is an introduction to where it all began. Bianca’s father has passed away and she is left with boxes of old papers, letters, and documents that indicate that her mother’s death may not have been an accident. It also indicates that her father may have been swindl [...]

    • 3.75 stars--ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 16, 2015From New York Times bestselling author J.S. Cooper comes an e-novella prequel to the Swept Away series, best read after Illusion. Bianca is determined to avenge her father’s death, but to do that, she must get in bed with his enemiesWhen Bianca’s father died, she was left with nothing but her memories—and a box full of secrets. Had her father really been squeezed out of the company he founded? And could his betrayers have something [...]

    • I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley.I really thought I had this story figured out from reading Illusion. I was wrong! Charade wonderfully starts to fill in the backstory from Illusion. It has helped shed some light on the Bradley family. They have mystery and questions swirling around them. But then again, everything is just an Illusion, an intricate game of cat and mouse. It appears the game has just begun.Bianca’s world shifts on its axis the day her father dies and she receives so [...]

    • Bianca is heart broken after her fathers death and confused about the letter he left for her. She soon finds herself trying to find out if her mother was murdered and how all her fathers patents ended up belonging to another company. In order to do this, Bianca decides to get close to the youngest Bradley son, David. But David isn't interested in a casual relationship and Bianca plan is being tested at every turn. How far will she have to carry this Charade in order to get the information she nee [...]

    • Charade is a quick read and serves as a prequel to Illusion. All the events in this book happen prior to her kidnapping and starts right when her father passed and ends with her meeting David. And just like in Illusion, the suspense is still there. You’re still trying to figure out everything and put the pieces of the puzzle together. Who is a friend, and who is foe? I feel so bad for Bianca and just want her to find out the truth. It’s quite obvious that she can’t trust anyone. Not David. [...]

    • This is a prequel to Disillusioned. I discovered it quite essential to the series. Provides an insight on how and why it all began and discerning some of the charade. David’s and Bianca’s relationship; betrayals with more unsolved mysteries and riddles to solve. It also provides more information into what may have happened to Bianca’s parents, the relationship with the Bradley brothers, and the force behind the kidnapping. Some questions are answered while others lead to new ones. Bianca i [...]

    • **Received a copy via Netgalley for an honest review**This is a short Novella that gives us a little more detail into Bianca and David's relationship. Even though it's a prequel, it's probably best if read after Illusion. I love JS Coopers writing and was excited when I saw this Novella was coming out. Bianca wants to get information on Bradley inc and she comes up with a plan to meet David Bradley since his brother, and CEO, Mattias rarely shows himself in public, I mean no one has even seen pi [...]

    • Oh how I loved Illusion. Charade to me can be read either before or after book 1. I know in the beginning of Illusion I was so confused as to what was really going on but it made me want to read more to know what was going on. Now Charade occurs shortly after Bianca's father has passed and she receives his boxes of papers. Bianca is trying to get handle her father's death. But once she starts going through the information left behind she knows she can't let this go. Digging into the company that [...]

    • ARC provided by Gallery, Threshold, Pocket Books via NetGalley for an honest review! This is a short little prequel that can either be read before or after Illusion (book 1 in the series). However, I recommend that you read it after, as the author intended. Part of the GREATNESS of Illusions was the WAIT, WHAT? over and over again. And I know that some readers find that to be confusing, when you don't really understand something or it's not what they predicted, but THAT'S what made Illusions su [...]

    • 3.5 starsIf you read Illusion, the first book in this series, then you already know about Bianca and how she came to get close to David, Mattias' brother. But now we get the full story in this prequel.I had my doubt about Bianca's plan, seducing David to get information on her father's business with Bradley, Inc but this story cleared up a number of things. First being that Bianca didn't actually seduce David. She was more of a cock tease. While she was attracted to David, her apprehension about [...]

    • *A copy provided by publisher, in return for an honest review.*How far will Bianca go, to find out the truth?Charade is a Prequel to Illusion, which shows a glimpse of Bianca’s life before she was taken and stranded on the Island in Illusion. It shows how she got together with David Bradley and how she was planning to use him for information. When Bianca’s father died, she couldn’t accept it. So she swore to herself that she will do anything and everything to find out what the real story i [...]
