    • A tail waggingly good start to this new dog centric cozy.I had such a fun time reading, BARKING UP THE WRONG BAKERY. The dogs featured made for some moments of levity that were pleasant breaks from the mystery portion of the story. I related so much to protagonist, Olivia Rickard. Totally hooked on mystery novels, a dog lover, and someone who doesn’t do well with change, I could have been reading about myself in some scenes. Though I will say, Olivia can get a little too intense with how she h [...]

    • Oiliva’s sister is trying to get her to buy a building as she owns a dog walking business. She also has Andrew who would love to propose to her. Oivlia loves mysteries she soon she is the one in trouble as she comes across a truck with Yvette dead. The author does a great job with the plot. The characters are funny and you can feel the love. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

    • Barking Up the Wrong Bakery by Stella St. Claire opens with us witnessing a murder. The only problem is that we don’t get to see who commits it. Olivia, a professional dog walker in the small town of Lexinberg, comes upon the body of Yvette inside the food truck Yvette runs, and immediately Olivia is certain that someone has murdered Yvette. Against the advice of her boyfriend, Andrew, and her sister, Janelle, Olivia gets involved in investigating on her own. In the meantime she can see that A [...]

    • This was a good start to a new series. Working as a dog walker has its benefits, but not when a dead body gets in the way. There were some bits that felt like they were dragging, otherwise it was an interesting story with several twists and turns to keep the reader guessing.I voluntarily read an ARC of this book provided by the publisher and NetGalley.

    • A wonderfully written sweet and funny mystery that keeps you guessing until the end. While Olivia spends most of her time trying to avoid her boyfriend Andrew’s proposal of marriage, she is endearing, if a bit clumsy, and we want nothing more than a happy ending for her. I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

She’s got a gorgeous boyfriend who loves her, a supportive sister to lean on, and a dog walking business that’s briskly barking away. • This was such a fun book featuring my favorite animal, dogs! I think this is a first time for me never read Stella St. Claire books, but won't be the last. Have already bookmarked the next in the series that is supposed to be published this month. Olivia is a professional dog walker who somehow gets involved in the middle of a suspicious murder. Her sister s pressuring her to buy a brownstone with her. If that isn't enough her long time boyfriend is trying to get her to commit to marriage. She i [...]

    • This is an entertaining, fun read. The heroine, Olivia, is so steeped in mystery novels that she fancies herself as a detective. Yes, she uncovers some clues, but only at risk to herself. She also hates change, so when she realises that her boyfriend, Andrew, is going to propose, and her sister wants her to commit to buying a brownstone, she uses distraction techniques. This is where the fifth * was deducted. I can understand not liking change, but Olivia takes it to ridiculous levels. So much so [...]

    • I received a ARC for a honest review. A fun and entertaining read.Olivia loves mystery novels but all of a sudden she is knee deep in a real whodunit. Fun characters, lighthearted but with twists and turns and laugh out loud moments.

    • This was such a great read, it was light hearted but with some good twists and turns that kept you needing to know where things were going to go. I absolutely loved Olivia's character and how she totally can't see when she is in over her head! she is very lucky she has such patient friends lol I can not wait to read more in this series as I think it will be great :DI voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

    • This is a cozy mystery about a dog walker named Olivia that does not like change and her boyfriend Andrew wants to marry her and her sister wants her to buy a building with her so they can have the bakery and her business in one building. She keeps trying to avoid making decisions. While on a walk with her boyfriend and her dogs she discovers Yvette dead in her food truck. • Barking up the Wrong Bakery is the debut installment in Stella St. Claire’s Happy Tails Dog Walking Mysteries series. This is an entertaining and fun read with likeable characters. The storyline is interesting and kept me guessing until the reveal. I found it a little distracting when sections of the audiobook the protagonist is listening were included. Overall, this is a good start to a new series.Olivia Rickard is a dog walker in Lexingburg, has a wonderful boyfriend, Andrew Patterson, who s [...]

    • I received a free digital copy from the author/publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest feedback.I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I love mystery books but not much of an animal lover and initially thought that you should be a dog lover to appreciate it. That's not the case, however, and I can't put the book down!Olivia Rickard has been looking forward to strengthening his relationship with his boyfriend, but she felt that they are falling apart. He's always bu [...]

    • Dying for a coffee? Or simply dying for a cute cozy to pass the time with? Olivia Rickard is a dog walker who is as disorganized and flighty as many of her furry clients. Change is a four letter word in her book, but murder on the other handFleeing from potential commitment, Olivia manages to stumble across the body of Yvette Dean in the back of her coffee truck. The chance to solve a murder like the heroine in her favorite mystery series is as tempting as one of her sister Janelle’s delicious [...]

    • I'm on a bit of a cozy kick at the moment, so when amazon recommended this as my next Kindle book and the price was right I thought, why not? As I expected, the story was fun, fresh and involved dogs and baking, two things I definitely enjoy reading about. I loved the small town atmosphere, and some of the quirky characters will hopefully make an appearance in book two.Probably the only two things I disliked was the way EVERY character treats Olivia like a child, even when thinking they want to [...]

    • This is my first experience with both the author and narrator, and I love them both. The book starts out with the murder, and we can't tell who it is, of course because then we wouldn't have the mystery. The author takes us on a journey of discovery as our mystery-loving dog walker gets herself into hot water pursuing a crime she's been warned to stay out of. While all this is going on, her boyfriend is trying to propose and she ruins it every time. The plot is well-constructed, the story has ju [...]

    • Barking up the Wrong Bakery is book 1 in the new Happy Tails Dog Walking Mystery series. Stella St Claire has the beginning of a 'put your feet up', 'belly laughing' great series. Olivia Rickard's dog walking business is doing well. Life is good. But she feels like her life is in a whirlwind. She likes things consistent, without change. Her sister thinks they should buy a brownstone, yikes (!). And boyfriend, Andrew Patterson is proposing (?!?). Olivia and Andrew come across a dead body. Being a [...]

    • Olivia is quirky and funny, sweet and lovable. The perfect character for a light hearted mystery. She has a dog walking business and is happy with her life. Why does her sister want her to buy some space to expand her business? She is happy as she is! Why does her boyfriend act like he wants to propose? She loves him and their relationship just as it is. Olivia needs a break, and boy does she get one. Finding Yvette dead in her coffee truck quickly has Olivia in the heart of the murder. Can she [...]

    • Olivia has her own dog walking business and a boyfriend whom she loves. Her sister runs a bakery and wants them to buy with her the building she is currently renting. Her boyfriend is making moves on her and this is all getting a little much for Olivia when she finds her morning coffee stand person drowned in the coffee. As you can ascertain from the scenario this is a lighthearted “cozy” type mystery. Well written characters give this book a smile whilst holding a story -line. A great chang [...]

    • I adored this book. I didn't expect it to have the romance line that it did but I was pleasantly surprised. It was adorable and quirky and the main character was just a treat! It had spurts of laugh out loud funny and parts where you just can't wait to find out who did it! You can't go wrong with a nice mystery novel and a pet storyline is just adorable like this. I loved it and book was just a treat in all aspects.

    • Cozy mystery fits this book perfectly.Murder never happens in a small town, but what if it does. Never fear Olivia is there, ready and willing to call it murder after finding Yvette dead, having been drowned in her own vat of coffee. Dodging her sister, who wants her to go in on a business deal with her, her boyfriend who is trying to propose, she still has time to stick her nose in the sheriff's business.

    • If you like cozy mysteries you will love this book. Olivia has a dog walking business and one sexy boyfriend. Together they discover Yvette's body after she was drown in a vat of fresh coffee.(she has a coffee truck) Olivia just can't help herself from investigating the murderer even after someone tries to run her down in a stolen car. Stella St. Claire does such a good job weaving all the story lines together. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from Net Gallery.

    • This is the first time reading this author and I loved it. Olivia finds a body while trying to avoid having Andrew ask her to marry him. This was a funny love story, murder mystery and it kept me turning pages. Olivia is someone we can all relate to . Andrew is willing to take as she is without trying to change and between the two of them, they figure out who dunnit. Can't wait to read more of this authors books.

    • Barking up the Wrong BakeryOlivia owns a dog walking business, a boyfriend who is trying to propose and a sister who is trying to get her to buy a building. Olivia is also into mysteries that she loves to listen to and when she stumbles across Yvette who was killed in her coffee truck she finds herself in all kinds of trouble. This is a funny, suspenseful mystery. The secondary characters bring charm to the story. I received an advanced copy for an honest review.

    • When the lady who runs the coffee truck gets murdered the mystery novel addicted town dog walker is determined to solve the case. This story is full of twists and turns and laugh a minute exploits and the romance with it's will she / won't she dilemma only serves to enhance the reading fun.A great, light, fun read.

    • Very quick and fun readThere were some good twists so I never guessed the killer till the reveal. I loved the whole idea of dog walking, gotta admit I was partial to the little dachshund. The characters were believable and fun to read about. I will be reading the next book, after all, two of my favorite things, dogs and baked goodies.
